Cryptic Necromancer Boss Guide — Far Far West

How do you beat the Cryptic Necromancer in Far Far West?

Section titled “How do you beat the Cryptic Necromancer in Far Far West?”

Beat the Cryptic Necromancer by moving laterally to break its homing-projectile tracking, shooting it during the gaps between Slash attacks, and clearing the summoned snakes and Grunts before they chip you down. At full 130 HP a few hits are survivable, so keep firing while dodging rather than retreating. It is one of the more mechanical bosses, not the hardest.

The boss uses two primary moves:

Attack Counter
Slash Move opposite the slash; sidestep to either side
Spawn Snakes (left mouse) and later Grunts — clear mobs first, then boss
  1. Start — the boss opens with Slash. Dodge by moving to either side; keep shooting to chip its health.
  2. Snakes — it spawns snakes; press LMB to clear them quickly before they stack.
  3. Grunts (later) — summons Grunts that deal chip damage in groups. Create distance, clear the mobs, then return to the boss.
Slot Pick Reason
Weapon Revolver / Volley Rifle Reliable DPS, good crits
Joker Hex Mark Mark damage during safe windows
Spell Frost Bolt Locks teleports / slows adds
Utility Second Wind Reset if surrounded

The Necromancer’s projectiles are homing but lose tracking almost completely when you move sideways rather than straight back. Strafing while firing is the single highest-impact habit for this fight.
